New for 2026 are two new body shapes, the Melody and Chorale, and a downsized version of our ever popular ‘The Hog’ model, named ‘The Hoglet’.
The Melody is a small bodied 0 size guitar, which makes it a perfect companion for playing at home. The 13th fret neck join adds to the compact and comfortable feel, whilst also increasing bass and volume a little to give the guitar a bigger voice than you might expect. It’s available in the Standard or Select trim, or to spec as a Custom Build.
The Chorale model was born out of a desire to make a guitar that would better suit singer-songwriters. Most smaller guitars have a tendency to accentuate the midrange frequencies that our voices also occupy, hence why bigger guitars like Dreadnoughts have become a standard for singers. However, bigger guitars don’t necessarily promote the best posture for singing, and this is what the Chorale aims to address. The body shape is designed with comfort in mind, smaller at the upper bout with a 13th fret neck join to make everthing feel more compact. The comparatively wider waist and deeper lower bout give the guitar a more balanced sound which allows space in the mix for a vocal, or other melodies. Bass is obviously reduced compared to a Dreadnought, but is still comparable to the Orchestra Model, despite being smaller. Plugged in with the optional LR Baggs Hifi pickup the reduced low end is often a bonus in a live situation, where feedback can occur and also helps it sit well in a band mix.
The Melody and Chorale are now part of the Standard range – find out more here.
‘The Hoglet’ is also based on the Melody body size, with Honduras Manhogany top, back and sides for a warm, woody tone that suits fingerpicking, folk and blues. Unlike ‘The Hog’, this one features the ‘Wide’ neck profile, with a slightly more generous string spacing in order to better serve those styles.
